Once a year the fishing industry gets together to showcase the greatest new products being launched, and the event, ICAST, will be held in steamy Las Vegas in a couple weeks. And I’m looking forward to it.
Even after all these years, the show is a like a candy store to me…and everything looks good. I suspect Berkley’s Nanofil Line will cause a big stir (already has at retail) and companies like Penn and Plano are unveiling new products like the new Plano 728 Angled Storage System.
I’ll be part of a film crew from Versus/NBC Sports highlighting the newest and best of the new products for this website and Versus/NBC Sports Facebook page. These videos will also introduce you to the movers and shakers of the fishing industry; guys like Clay Norris of Berkley and others.
I find new products especially exciting as today’s pressured fish often respond better to baits they’ve never seen before, which is why I stock on the best new stuff after the show.
