Mend-It is a glue that can be used to repair soft-plastics or even make custom designs. For instance, I’ve taken 10-inch Zoom Ol’ Monster worms and turned them into 16-inch worms by gluing on a section from another worm. Sometimes when you’re ledge fishing, using a big plastic worm you can make all the difference in getting bites or getting skunked. With Mend-It, you want to make sure the two pieces you’re going to glue are about the same diameter and cut flush. Then you just apply Mend-It to the pieces, hold them together for 15 seconds or so, and let the bait sit for a couple of minutes. You can take all your throwaways that wind up in a corner of your boat and recycle them. You can supersize baits, make two-toned worms or lizards or do anything else you can think of. Mend-It is easy to find in fishing tackle stores and doesn’t cost much, but it can save you money in the long run. It also might help you catch more fish.
