This week the conversion from Versus to NBC Sports Outdoors will be complete. If you are an avid reader of this blog or others “From the Dock” blogs you probably noticed this transition start here on the website earlier this year. The final change is on your television, so now catch your favorite fishing shows like Scott Martin Challenge, FLW Outdoors, Big Bass Battles and many more will now be on NBC Sports Outdoors which is likely the same channel that used to be labeled Versus.
Personally, I am excited to be a part of the change, Versus had a strong brand recognition among outdoorsmen but the NBC brand is even stronger! It is exciting to be able to tell your friends and colleagues you are an online contributor for NBC Sports Outdoors website. I believe NBC’s brand has the potential to help take fishing and hunting to the next level and continue to make it more main stream. I am sure they will continue to bring us more and more true HD Outdoor television content; I’ve always felt that fishing was made for HDTV.
On a personal fishing level, I am excited to put my recent bass boat purchase to the test this season, with a 10 year newer boat and some new tools on my boat should be another great year of tournament and fun fishing.
As far as the Bassin’ Insider blog, expect to see much of the same tips and news that you have for the last few years with the addition of a few more links to how to video clips of yours truly!
